Artistic Career

1990TAPESTRY STUDIOS OF AUSTRALIA MELBOURNE Weaving large-scale tapestries, including Alan Davie painting and work commissioned for Parliament House, Canberra.
1993BETHANIEN KUNSTLERHAUS, BERLIN Four months in residence in large printmaking studio in Berlin, making etchings and silkscreens
1993-95TREVOR PRICE STUDIOS, ST. IVES Worked alongside Trevor Price professionally editioning his etchings and producing new work of my own.
1996–97WILHELMINA BARNS-GRAHAM PROJECT Was approached by WBG to work with her one to one on three large scale colour etchings as part of her “Scorpio” series. The making and editioning of the work took several months.
1997EXHIBITION AND WORKSHOPS IN THE PHILIPPINES Invited by The British Council to be main exhibitor in & co-curator of an exhibition of British Contemporary Printmaking in a prestigious gallery in Makati, Manila. Whilst there, gave talks and taught a series of workshops at The University of the Philippines.
1999-2002STONEMAN GRAPHICS, CORNWALL Working with Hugh Stoneman making and editioning for artists such as Patrick Heron, Terry Frost, Ian MacKeever, Breon O'Casey and Maurice Cockrill amongst many others
1995-presentPORTHMEOR PRINT WORKSHOP, St. Ives, Instrumental in setting up this open-access studio with over thirty members. Manage the daily running of the workshop, and put in place a varied educational programme
2000/2001ARTIST IN RESIDENCE at Kings School, Worcester.
2001 - 2006LECTURER AT CORNWALL COLLEGE on the Fine Art and Textiles Degree courses
2001-presentTeaching at various places, including St. Ives School of Painting, Tate Gallery St. Ives, Penwith College and the Newlyn Art Gallery.
2002WORKED WITH BREON O’CASEY at his home/studio, assisting him to make linocuts
2005/06/07MENTOR to Falmouth Art School BA and MA Graduates through a scheme run by Creative Skills & the Tate Gallery
2011–2016NEWLYN SCHOOL OF ART Running Workshops two days per month
2012-13PORTHMEOR STUDIO 5 Was the successful applicant for the flagship studio (former occupants Ben Nicholson and Patrick Heron). 2013-14 Porthmeor Studio 9 (formerly the studio of Sandra Blow).
2014-presentPENWITH STUDIO 6 becomes my permanent painting studio.
